The New View

Well Colin and I have officially moved on from Fairview Cres. The house holds a lot of wonderful memories and I couldn't have asked for a better roomate...Morris! Ha! But alas the time has come for us both to move on. Colin to buying a house with his view which is posted on his site, and me...with my new temporary view (below) as of Feb. 24th. Life is getting better and better and I get a nice smooth transition period with my favorite man, Benj. Only four sleeps and my long awaited adventure away from Prince Geroge begins!

Want a Ride?

I can't believe what a mix of emotions the last week has been. First off I (for some abnormal reason...ha!) can't stop doing things. We have to be out of our house by the 29th and as most of you know, I seem to have collected a few items. So now the endless task of going through it all and figuring out where I am gonna store it while i'm on my three month adventure. I'm also working like mad...i think this week its like 70 hours or something ridicilous. Whatever right...i get three months off to do as I will...on the island and in Thailand, feewwwff, tough life.
This Saturday my Grandma Jan passed away. The last few months have been a roller coaster for all the family and i'm so glad that she got to see them all together. I'm sure that meant the world to her, i know it is very special for me. Now she is in a better place and not hurting anymore. I love you Grandma Jan and am gonna miss you.

Technology Provider of the Year

The other day my mom called me to say that my dad was nominated for an award at the Business and Technology Awards for northern BC. We all were very happy that he finally is getting recognition for the last 15 years of work on his lock. So a nice dinner was in mind and go and watch the other business competitors get their awards. Well, wouldn't you know that my dad tied with this other dude and they both won the award for Technology Provider of the Year Award. Wicked! It was totally unexpected but definitely well deserved if you ask me. I'm super proud of him....it's amazing how a little recognition can make years of work all worth it. Can you tell from his smile?

Summer Lovin

Ahhh, summer memories.

I got the honour of going to a wedding with these three hot boys. In a month I might get to hang with Danny (in the middle) in Thailand.

Quack

One Red Paper Clip

I'm not sure of how many of you have heard of the guy who started with one red paper clip and is trading it in hopes to end with a house. His name is Kyle MacDonald and he is willing to travel anywhere to make a trade. Recently he traded a ski-doo for a three day all inclusive trip to Yahk BC. Wowzers...from a red paper clip to that, if that isn't inspiring I'm not sure what is!
Goooooooooo Kyle!

Tribute

The "Rat Tail" was once a common conversation around our house. Day in and day out it was there...on the back of Colin's neck. If you forgot about it he so gently reminded you by turning around and talking to you backwards, as if the tail was talking.
Well, for all you fans out there you can buy Colin Pearson merchandise with his famous picture on it! From t-shirts, to dog clothes to clocks, you just can't get enough.
Personally, I think it's kinda freaky how much merchandise they sell but hey, Colin's a pretty popular guy.
Now the tail has been laid to rest...i think it's best that we keep it this way.

Happy 2006

Feeewwwwffff...a couple of weeks off with continual eating and drinking sure does a number to someone! I feel totally revived and am looking forward to what is gonna happen this year. In only a month and two days I leave to Victoria and another short while and i'll be off to Thailand. Sweetness dude. Now the pressure is on and i'm going to have to kick some serious ass.
The holidays brought many wonderful memories, got to see a lot of old faces (the ones you want to see and some of the ones you don't...ha!)
New Years was wicked, I couldn't have asked for a better time and with better people. Curling on Stuart Lake and and drinking by the fire, gold.

And of course the best thing about holidays was I got to spend it with this guy!
