This is in memory of my Uncle Joe
He passed away peacefully on February 13, 2007
He brought so much joy too our lives
With his endless jokes and joyful sense of humour,
I'm sure the ladies at the Simon Fraser Lodge will miss how he dotted on them by pinching their bums!
I'm going to miss being called fruitloop all the time, along with many other fond memories.
We love you Uncle Joe

Pooped Out

First off, I would like to know who designed this?
Secondly, how many of you would let your kids play on this?
Finally, you can only imagine what your child would tell the class..."this weekend my mom let me play on this new playground where I shot out of an elephants bum!"

Small Comforts
Now a days the simples things remind me of home. Currently it's Co-Op market. I know it sounds silly, but one of the things about moving to a new province is figuring out new grocery stores. There are tonnes of Sobeys around but they just don't cut it, even with the excessive amount of staff they support it doesn't feel right. It took a few times bet finally Benj and I discovered Co-Op and we felt at home. I think the selling factor was that they had dairyland products...dairyland classic vanilla yogurt, mmmmm.
Co-Op's are just in Saskatchewan and Alberta, the really sweet thing is you get a percentage of cash back as to what you spend. Sweet!
Today I experienced something that was almost like a nightmare. Shopping at Co-Op on seniors day. I kid you not when I say the isles were filled with very slow walking old people, not only did they walk slow they all knew each other and stopped to chat...clogging up the isles even more. It's not easy being in some what of a rush in this situation, you can only imagine.
Ok, that is enough of a rant for today...learn from my lesson though...stay away from any grocery store on an senior discount day!!

lets play...
I hate to admit it, but this is what we now watch to shut off our brains. Regis is Benj's hero. Although lately he has been switching it up with Deal or no Deal, but it all goes back to Regis Phillman.
What a guy...they way he points his finger at the camera and says "lets play, who wants to be a millionaire" sends shivers up your spine and you put your game face on. I have yet to see someone win a million but man do they sure dish out a lot of dough.
Well, the show is on so time to play...Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

Do something everyday that scares you...
I have a new appreciation for what students go through...
I had my first french test on friday and it proved to be quite the experience. I do have to say that I am pretty organized and prepared for class but it still crept up on me. Woke up contiunously the night before conjugating verbs and thinking about french. Biked to school doing the same, although the school was quite cool I was hot, sweaty and fidgity all day. The hour before the test killed me, I didn't know what to do with myself. I heard that if you drank some caffeine before a test it helps you think faster....I only wish. I had a nice large expresso that I ended up pounding just to keep my hands busy. This lead to a bit of a stomach ache and me being more nervous that I needed to be.
I made it through the test, thankfully.
I think I did ok...but well see on monday i guess.
After it was a bit of a shock, i was really shaky from the excessive caffeine and not eating...oops!
But the scariest thing I have done in a while is over and another one coming on tuesday. Lets hope i do better with this one.

Addiction
My dependency on coffee is increasing as the school year progresses. I never thought it would come to this. Just like smoking, when you have a spare minute you are looking to fullfill the desire, and mine seems to be caffeine. The more I drink the more work I get done. The downside is when I go to class and have to talk to my classmates...it's a bit choppy and you can almost hear the shakes in my voice.
It reminds me of a song that we used to have to sing in music class, it goes a little something like this:
C-O-F-F-E-E
Coffee is not for me,
its a drink some people wake us with,
that is makes them nervous is no myth.
Slaves to a coffee cup,
they can't give coffee up
